I'm honored to be performing with saxophonist Ron Blake! You've all heard him before; he's currently the tall saxophonist in the back of the Saturday Night Live band. I grew up listening to his collaborations with Christian McBride and Roy Hargrove, and now I get to play some of those same compositions live at an outdoor free concert! This Thursday lunchtime series takes place at Saint Peter's Church (53rd St./Lexington Ave.). The rest of the lineup includes Yasushi Nakamura on bass and Jimmy Macbride on drums.
